at 26 i toured europe playing music, i worked as a sound engineer.
i've always been a music teacher and have written many songs and orchestal scores.
amongst the many instruments i play are guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, but mostly i like to play flute.
music is my life.
i've been squatting since i was about eighteen and opened my first squat in forest fields, nottingham when i was 23.
ive seen many changes in the squat scene over many years. in nottingam, much of the squat scene centered around political struggles, now it seems squat are centered around more artistic endeavours, with politics thrown in. with the 'berlin wall' coming down and the 'soviet union' opening it's borders there are a lot of eastern block squatters on the london squat scene, all of whom seem very able and enthusiastic at opening houses, thus providing homes for people where the system seems to fails them badly.
if people who are homeless don't have squats to go to there would be chaos with many people on the streets
